Tim Richardson has been coaching and advising multinational corporates at board level for over 20 years.  Before this he was an officer in the British Army with a decade of operational experience overseas.  He founded the leadership consultancy Black Isle Group in 2001 and moved to a NED role in 2019 to focus on portfolio work and philanthropy.  He is a Trustee of the BIG Foundation, a charity he founded in 2017, which invests in community and environmental projects in Africa.

Widely regarded as an executive coach with a commercial leader’s perspective, Tim has worked at CEO/Board level for some of the world’s best known financial institutions.  As the CEO of Black Isle Group (BIG) he grew a start up business into one of the most respected brands in the city for leadership development and executive coaching.  He led the design and delivery of many international leadership initiatives, predominantly in the investment banking sector, for over 15 years.

Over the past 3 years Tim has been closely involved in technology business where he works alongside Founders and Board Members to help them accelerate growth.  Much of this work is around culture and purpose – but there is also a great deal of personal development for individual leaders.
